Take Note
Have a Notebook exclusively reserved for singing. At every lesson, or whenever you are practicing, write down all that you discover, your sensations, and important things to remember.
Ideally, it is best to go through your notes every day/week. But when you go through notes from weeks or months ago, you will notice how much you’ve grown. The things that were important back then are not relevant anymore because you have outgrown them. Every step has its own challenge and the important thing is to notice how much you’ve learned so far.

Record yourself
Recording & listening to yourself will help you fix things. Every time you practice, and during your lessons, record and then listen. This will help you analyze how you’re singing and will allow you to correct and improve.
Listening to older recordings will help you determine how much you’ve improved. You have a tangible proof of all that you’ve learned.

Ask for feedback
Your coach/instructor usually gives you regular feedback. Acknowledge that feedback for instructive reasons, to your own good. Be open-minded and keep in mind that you are constantly learning new things. Another good approach is to ask for feedback from other professionals too; like other professional singers, music directors and coaches.

Trust yourself
You usually feel you’ve improved, so trust your own critical thinking. It’s important to have confidence in the process, despite the small bumps.
You will always be criticized no matter what, because you cannot please everyone. That’s the way it is. Use the criticism for educational purposes, and beware of jealous people.
