First of all, Billie’s voice reminds me of the 80s pop singer Suzanne Vega.
Her Music
What’s great about Billie is that she was able to impose her style to the world, and we can recognize her signature almost immediately. Her melodies are pretty catchy and the musical arrangements take her art to a higher level.
The Singer
I would qualify Billie as a professional whisperer, rather than a singer. Even though she has a nice colour when she sings, i wished she’s taken the time to learn the art of singing instead of relying on her superficial breath to create straight sounds that never seem to vibrate.
Advices for Billie
She’s still a young artist so she has a long way to go. Singers today come and go pretty fast. And even though she has her own style and personality this does not guarantee her place in the musical industry on the long run. In order to be a great singer, one needs to know how to sing great.
Any Last Thoughts?
Billie is still growing as a person and as an artist. She is a great whisperer but I wish she’d invest in her technic, she simply needs to learn how to sing. Sorry.
