Her Music
The music is pretty basic but avant-garde at the same time. I’m sure her intentions were to impress and to do something out of the ordinary. But at the same time, after listening twice to the album, there is not one song that I could remember. Not one catchy song. I wish she focused on melodic phrases rather than sound effects and special arrangements. At the end of the day, the audience remembers a tune and not a sound effect.
Her Age
I don’t believe that age should play a role in whatever she is doing, on the contrary, I congratulate her for being the person she is and for breaking the boundaries of society. However, I wish she would assume her role as a mother and she could definitely take into consideration the fact that her real fans are people in their 30s, 40s, and even in their 50s. Not everyone wants to see Madonna getting sexual with a 20 something-year-old latino singer. In the 80s, she was popular for being scandalous and trashy, but now, everyone is like that so she should find something new to play with – no pun intended.
Her Style
She’s always been a very versatile artist, including her style and I wish we could see more of that in Madame X. She should aim for the glamorous rather than the dirty and the slutty. Why do you think Celine hasn’t lost her flame yet?
Her Voice
I seriously think that I should be coaching her! She has a great voice but doesn’t necessarily know how to use it and of course with time and age the body changes and it’s up to her to invest in it in order to be at her full potential when she sings. Of course, studio recordings do not reflect the real voice because in a studio, she’s able to stop, take breaks and repeat. And of course, filters and effects hide so many flaws in the voice. She has proven in the last decade or so that she is not that much of a singer and I wish she would invest in making the most of whatever she has left. One last thing, I wish she’d express some feelings when she sings. It’s way to robotic for me.
I love madonna don’t get me wrong, but I am just not convinced with what I see. Sorry Madonna…
