Singing is not rocket science, everything has already been discovered! If you wish to become a great singer, just learn what is already available to you in this post:
All my new students say:
“How to get a better voice? What do I need to do in order to have a better voice when I sing or speak?”
PRACTICE
I know I mention this in almost every single post and video, but it’s true believe me! The best thing you can do on a daily basis is to practice! Even if it’s just 15 minutes, at least you’ve got the motor running. Because even when you’re resting, the body and your mind are both still analyzing what they’ve achieved on that day. So practice!
GET HELP FROM A PROFESSIONAL
Take singing lessons, coaching sessions or a mentor. This person will determine which way you need to go when it comes to technic, artistry or even career perspectives. This person will have a different eye and will be able to guide you through.
LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY
Rely on resources that you can trust and that speak to you! Just like this blog, if you are reading this, it means you trust my resources and I’m truly blessed. Read, research and consult resources that you like and that you feel are making a big difference in your life.
BE PATIENT
It takes time to learn how to sing. It’s a lot of small baby steps, one step at a time. Practice, keep learning, persevere, you get what you invest in!
RECORD
Record your lesson, your coaching session, and your practice when you’re alone. The best tip in learning how to sing is recording (and singing in front of a mirror), so you can even film yourself when you practice in order to see and hear what you are doing. Your ear and your body will understand the principles of singing even better when they are able to see and hear what they have just executed. It’s not rocket science, it’s just science.
